GeoffNess.com

The personal website of
Geoffrey Ness,
President of Nessit.

2008

Welcome.

The purpose of geoffness.com is, if for no other reason, to be a portal in which you can learn a little about me, and what I do. Since 2003 I have owned and run a web design, hosting and network administration company, Nessit, formerly known as Geoff Ness Computer Solutions. Since the original geoffness.com website was used for both personal and business purposes I had to find a use for it as my company moved over to its new site. As a result I have found geoffness.com to be a great place to publish my thoughts, trials and successes to share with others. My hope is for it to be a good way for someone to get to know me and understand what makes me tick.

Within the new site I have created the standard bio compilation with a small twist. You will find my resume, the readers digest version of my life story and how I created Nessit, as well as a personal blog where I hope to share some stories as my business grows and my life continues on.

As part of the design of geoffness.com, I have created a theme for each page that shares just a little about my life. The 'welcome' page is to represent my home life and my love for the outdoors and nature. In the 'about' page I have included two pictures from a spring break trip I took to Italy to visit my graphic design artist who was doing a semester abroad there. We were very productive and of course I enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and food. The 'resume' page is a selection of three pictures I took while doing my own semester abroad in Edinburgh Scotland. It was an amazing experience and it was very difficult to choose three pictures out of the over five hundred I took. The 'blog' page has a picture of a hot air balloon shadow. For as long as I can remember, I have been very active in the Great Falls Balloon Festival held every year in Lewiston/Auburn, Maine. My uncle was heavily involved and I soon became hooked on it as well. In spring of 2008, the festival hired me to do their website and I am pleased to announce it was a great success. Finally on the 'contact' page is a wonderfully live picture of the fourteenth green at my home golf course. Golf has always been something I have done with my dad since I was seven. As I have gotten older it has become a great time to discuss business ideas as he has always been my mentor in developing Nessit. It is thanks to my parent's belief in me, and their constant willingness to help me, that my business has been such a success and continues to grow every day.

I hope you enjoy the new geoffness.com and I look forward to posting to the blog as often as possible so be sure to check back once and a while. Thanks for stopping by!
